Host Business of the Month - November 2017

Top End Oral Health Services (TEOHS) deliver dental services to eligible clients across the Northern Territory. Services include preventative, educational, emergency and special needs dentistry along with day to day treatments.
 
Clinics are located in Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine and Gove. In the top end alone, there are 12 school based clinics and six assessment clinics. There are also the speciality clinics  including the Darwin Paediatric clinic and Special Needs dental Unit based at Royal Darwin Hospital. They    currently employ 38 Dental Assistants in the top end and service 33 remote clinics.
 
Oral Health Services partnered with GTNT in 2010 and has had twenty two trainees since partnering, with the majority successfully completing the traineeship and many going on to gain employment with TEOHS.

Earlier this year Top End Oral Health Services appointed four new Trainees, who commenced their Certificate III in Dental Assisting. These trainees are Michael Dennett, Sandra Grant, Tarnya Martin and Shellee Henry.
 
The trainees are completing their qualifications through the Department of Health Registered Training Organisation.

The partnership has been very successful with Top End Oral Health Services being able to train and employ professional dental assistants, trained to meet the needs of our vast work environment. They have the skills, confidence and resilience to work in isolated or difficult situations and we are confident with their ability to undertake the duties allocated to them.
